Grand Soleil 50. In the world of luxury cruising yachts, the name Grand Soleil and Soleil Yachts which are based in Italian shipyard Cantiere del Pardo, are one of the synonyms for speed, high performance and extremely high quality. For this project, Doug Peterson is being engaged, the man with unique experience in America’s Cup, and as a result, the most advanced technology and materials are used for hull constructing.

Deck house and navigation station have a lower build and are now unavoidable part of any modern sailing yacht and originates from Finnish Nautor. The length of this slender ship is 14,9 meters, maximum width is 4,56 m.

Auxiliary engine is Volvo Penta with 55 Hp and the cruising speed is 7 knots. There are four cabins inside with 8-10 beds, the saloon is entirely built with cherry tree. Grand Soleil 50 features three large modern bathrooms and two additional toilets. The whole sails area is 102 m2. The deck is can be optionally covered with teak tree. The visibility from her bow cockpit is exceptional and very enjoyable.

Italian Shipbuilder Fincantieri has already built more than 7000 ships of all types, and every MegaYacht wasn’t just luxury traveling ship but an expression of success, refinement and style in the same time. People in this shipyard are mainly focused to construction of huge ships bigger than 70 meters and this project that is called Project Light, and according to the name it belongs to the light category. This MegaYacht originates from the cooperation between the famous design studio Nauta Design and Fincantieri Yachts.

The Ship is 262 feet long and 46 feet wide and can accommodate twelve to fourteen guests and up to ten crew members on all five decks. There are seven ultra luxury cabins at the disposal to the owner and the guests, with a total of 770 m2 of usable space, windows area of 200 m2, and a teak-wood floor is planted on the area of 640 m2.

The engines in charge of moving this monstrous ship are more than powerful and are capable of producing 2.645 Hp each, and the cruising speed (at 85% throttle) is 17 mph., while the maximum speed is 18 mph. The autonomy of thus MegaYacht at 16 knots is 6000 nautical miles. Other numbers and load capacity are impressive as well.

The biggest yacht from the Sicilian IconYachts is built from fiberglass, 23 meters long and 5.31 meters wide on the widest spot, with two powerplants, 2 Cat C32 engines, capable of producing in excess of 1.550 hp and propelling this SuperYacht to an impressive speed of 38 knots.

The exterior lines are very powerful and yet elegant in the same time, and in perfect harmony with the interior. There are lots of windows in custom shapes and styles, matching the character and balancing between excellent aerodynamics and usability. The main saloon is very spacious and sunlight is present in large quantities and can be adjusted by dimming the light that comes from the outside. The roof can also be adjusted according to your wishes and depending on the weather conditions and you are getting two characters in the same boat; open top yacht or a powerful coupe that can be enjoyed in almost every weather conditions, while travelling with all needed comfort and more for the passengers inside.

The cockpit is located in a perfect place, the visibility on the front and the sides of the ships is excellent, and if you want to drive this yacht yourself, you are not prevented to enjoy in chat with your friends relaxing on the sofas behind you, because they are so close to the cockpit station.

Everything smells like luxury, refinement and is so tuned, you are getting the impression that prophet knows your every wish in advance. Quality wood is used, in a superb combination of shapes and trim, what is expected from a company that used to produce luxury furniture in the past.

The displacement is huge 50 tons (under full load), and there is a place and conditions for six to eight people to enjoy for a prolonged period of time and have a perfect cruising holiday, accompanied with one or two crew members.

Italcraft 90. Gaete shipyard has created this beautiful yacht and they have the right to be very proud of it. The boat is built with the fierce competition on mind and is a real alternative to nowadays open-top models. One of the main goals of the architects was to maximize the three open areas :

- spacious cockpit with lots of room for the owner and his friends,
- living room at the stern, with lots of seating space, divided in three segments
- sunbathing and enjoying loft at the bow, on the upper deck

All these parts are independent of each other and the guests have much more privacy for enjoyment and relaxing, during the cruise or at the port. You can enjoy the sun and the spectacular view at the front if you don’t mind the wind at the maximum speed of 40 knots. Openness is further accented with the glass wall inside, and at the terrace on top. The gallery and the dining room are also pretty large and comfortable, at the front and also at the back. The light is also making its way into the saloon from the big round window at the top, so there is no chance you will feel claustrophobic and constrained in these gorgeous beautiful yacht.

We will focus on ISA 600 yachts in particular in this reading, together with rich photo coverage of the interior. This series is available in two different versions of exterior styling, created with close collaboration with two renowned masters of the Italian design, Walter Franchini and Andrea Vallicelli. Both versions are completely equal in size, technology and luxury level, they have a completely different souls. The deck’s styling and the shape of the stern has some dissimilarities and brings to light some different ideas. The photos of the interior of ISA 600 in this text are from the Walter Franchini version of ISA 600 yacht.

The Main Technical Data:
The new yacht ISA is based on the concept project and naval architecture by the ISATechnical Department team. She is compliant with the LRoS (Lloyd’s Register of Shipping), Maltese Cross 100A1 SSC YACHT (P) MONO G6, LMC and UMS classification regulations, as well as with the MCA (Maritime and Coastguard Agency), Code of Practice, LY2 Unrestricted regulations.
The new ISA 600 is built exclusively from metal, with steel used in the hull with a lots of other metals used to reinforce the structure and aluminium alloy for the superstructure above. The yachts is equipped with bulb at the bow, and the stern skeg and an additional stabilization system with two pairs of fins placed at the front of the ship and at the back.

As we mentioned before ISA 600 is 60.5 meters long, with a length at waterline of almost 54 meters, and a distance between perpendiculars is more than 52 meters. The yacht’s maximum beam is 12 meters and she has a maximum draught of more than 3 meters when fully loaded. The unit’s displacement is 980 tons with a medium load, and 1042 when it is filled to the maximum.

The ISA 600’s engine room will be fitted with twin Caterpillar twelve-cylinder V/type diesel engines, CAT 3512C-HD DiTA rating C series, each with 1765 kw of output, equivalent to 2365 horsepower, delivered at engine speed of 1800 rpm. This set-up with allow the new ISA 600 to reach a top speed of 16.5 knots, with a cruising speed of 14.5 knots.

When traveling at a cruising speed of 14 knots, the yacht will be able to achieve a range of 2700 nautical miles, partly thanks to her capacious fuel tanks, which can hold 124 thousand liters of fuel. Freshwater on board ISA 600 will be supplied by specific tanks, containing up to 25 thousand liters of liquid.
Meanwhile, the onboard energy requirements will be met by the three main generator sets, based on six-cylinder inline Caterpillar diesel generators from the CAT C9 DiTA series, each providing 200 kilowatts. A dedicated emergency generator set is on hand if needed.

The ISA 600’s equipment also includes one rescue and service tender, and two waverunners. These are stored outside on the fore deck, while the two main tenders and a further two waverunners are stored inside in twin garages on the lower deck, both of which have side hatches.

The exterior styling and the interior design

Exotic and elegant, calm and assuring, avant-garde interior is just an addition of the bold, powerful exterior styling created by Walter Franchini’s Italian studio and gives a strong impression at first sight. In our opinion, ISA 600 is glowing with prestige and luxury, has a very majestic elegance and robust look. Sporty Jet-Set image is not sacrificed but it is incorporated in its genes, and it looks and glides on the waves as well as it please our eyes. The superstructure above and the hull look like they are born together in one moment, not welded and assembled carefully in many work hours.
Monumental combination of strong character and sleek authoritarian presence is achieved with carefully hand-picked forms and visual elements to form a harmonious, balanced impression. Soft curvy lines are in masterful cooperation with straight lines at places where it is needed.

An abundance of space inside welcomes the guests, and there can be a large number of them. Modern language is present everywhere and is perfectly wrapped with mystic past style and spirit. Every little thing is perfectly located and you can think of no other better location for it. Majestic terraces are one a top the other in a rising sequence: some are partially covered, some are fully open air, so choose your place for enjoying the sun and view, while calm breeze is your touching your face gently. The alfresco dining table in the main saloon is a true wonder and is one of the top places to enjoy your meals together with chosen company.

If someone is building ships longer than 85 feet (25 meters) from 1873, then you would expect only the best outcome from the work of their experienced engineers and designers.
We are talking about Benetti Yachts here, and their latest work, Benetti FB237 Latinou. This is a huge superyachts with four decks especially targeted for luxury chartering pleasures. The ship has been projected by Stefano Natuzzi.

There is an interesting true story that circles the internet. The owner of this yacht, completely pleased and satisfied to the last detail with his new toy, invited all the laborers from Livorno facility and their families on the celebrating lunch to thanks them for their hard and dedicated work completing his yacht Latinou. Pretty unusual act in today’s world if you ask me and certainly welcomed.

Latinou is the result of the expertise of an experienced team of boatbuilders at the Benetti shipyard. Interior is a result of a constant collaboration between the shipyard and the yacht’s owners and everything is thought to the smallest detail and as a result they have accomplished their goal to achieve 1930’s atmosphere with well combined avant-garde and modern luxurious items. Impressive amount of raw material is used in Latinou with over 240 tons of steel and aluminium, 80km of cables and wiring, over 40 km of pipes, about 3600 m of cherry wood paneling, solid amount of precious marble and crystal. For the finest parts, most exotic leather and finest clothing and fabrics is used. All this is required in order to construct such a beauty.

Luxury Yacht Benetti Latinou accommodates up to 12 guests in 6 cabins. These comprise of 2 King rooms, 2 Queen Rooms, 1 double and 1 twin room. All cabins are equipped with top quality entertainment systems and ensuite facilities.

Latinou has been designed specifically for chartering. There is a well-equipped kitchen on the main deck with bathrooms and a spacious garage with capacity for two tenders and jet skis. On the under lower deck, there is a wine cellar, a laundry and baggage room. But it is in the main salon where the magic comes to life. There are intimate conversation corners and convivial spaces penetrated by gold shafts of light coming from an unexpected skylight… Latinou’s futuristic elevator from which a ray of light permeates the vessel’s five decks. Rio 42 Air is a large and beautiful cruiser with a hard top. It is presented on the last years Genova Boat Show.

Rio Yachts are famous for this kind of powerful motorboats (cruisers) that have many unique details and take them apart from other shipbuilders. The roof is not covering the upper deck completely and acts like a hard top cabrio, which can be transformed into a sporty coupe in seconds, on a touch of a button. The whole operation is performed by a series of servo engines and it is noiseless. And this hard top equipped cruiser has one important advantage; the owner doesn’t have to care for the bad weather as the protection is uncompromising and assuring and completely silent.

The new hard-top consists of two distinct elements and the horizontal silver structure gives a slender look to the hull by highlighting an elegant style. Rio 42 Air is built following the latest standards in safety, technology and luxury and it is aimed to the most demanding buyers. Italian style and character is present on every step and angle. Its length is 12.94m (42 feet) and the deck is big enough to accommodate all the guests and even serve as a private beach, near the anchored mother ship.

Optimum visibility is one key factor at Rio 42 Air that contributes to security and is guaranteed with the raised navigation position. You can choose to sunbathe on the bow, or use a private sunbathing location at the stern. Extremely comfortable material is used on both sunbathing places and you can get a tanned skin relaxed and worry-free with your favorite company. Shipyard’s motto focuses on function and comfort: the hard-top actually covers, once open, both the cockpit table and a part of the aft sunbathing area.

Speaking for the interior, there are two cabins with dedicated facilities, double beds and essential items and big saloon with a galley for all the owner’s needs.

With two Cummins turbo-diesel engines with 380 horsepower, it achieves speed of 36 knots, which is excellent knowing that the weight of empty boat is over 9, 5 tons. The tank accumulates 1000 liters of fuel.
